Center for the Arts, Grass Valley CA: Pushin’ Too Hard: The Seeds LIVE and On-Screen!
Saturday June 3 @ 6:00 pm
Begin the evening with a film screening of the renowned documentary film “The Seeds: Pushin Too Hard” followed by a Q&A with producer Neil Norman (award winning psy-fi composer, owner of GNP/Crescendo, and son of Gene Norman).
Following the film, The Seeds LIVE, reuniting for the first time since 1996, featuring original founding members Daryl Hooperon keyboards with Don Boomer (who replaced original drummer Rick Andridge in 1968) on drums. Rounding out the band are seasoned session guitarist Jeff Prentice with dynamic lead man Paul Kopf delivering the vocals. And while the band primarily performed on stage as a quartet in the 60’s, their studio recordings always included a bassist so they have brought in 5 time Grammy nominated producer and rock archivist Alec Palao on bass to complete the stage show.
Close out the evening with a dance party like no other! Let loose to the underground sounds of DJ Vinyl Avenger spinning rare 60’s wax with a special set of proto punk / garage / psych!
